An unexpectedly inviting space offering a unique client experience, Nirvanic Tattoo & Piercing in Loveland, CO is unlike any other tattoo studio in the area. With an emphasis on on-on-one attention, the entire customer journey is focused around making you feel welcome and comfortable with the tattoo or piercing procedure. Specializing in strong and colorful compositional tattoos, Eastern Religious inspired pieces, New School and Traditional, nature, geometry and tree related designs all backed by the strong desire to simply make every client as happy as possible. Nirvanic is a studio that accepts clients with lots of unique personalities and walks of life. Coming from a background of diverse sub-culture affiliations including outlier scenes such as the alternative and underground music scenes, low-brow arthouses and museums, dark and smokey live music venues, musty old book stores where you were allowed to sit all day reading as much Camus as you could find, bright and lively music festivals, skate parks and roller skating rinks, abundant vintage second hand stores and anywhere else the counter culture could be consumed, Nirvanic is LITERALLY the culmination of an alternative tattoo studio. The music is deep, filling the air, and the atmosphere is colorful with the original paintings and drawings of the owner Bob Parr covering the walls. The environment is essentially an extension of the collective psyche of Bob and his vast experience and many years of involvement of both the counter culture and the tattoo and piercings culture. To know Nirvanic is to know Bob Parr.Coming into the studio is akin to joining Bob at his own house, his own domicile. When you join Bob, you join a long list of amazing clients that have been a part of his journey ever since he began tattooing in 1999 and drawing and painting sometime in the late 1970's. To experience the tattooing and artwork of Nirvanic is to gain a little bit of insight to what it may have been like to grow up immersed in the underground, low-brow art scene, the punk and hardcore live music movements of the 80's and 90's where Bob grew up, the Reggae, funk and hippie scenes that have helped shape him and the boringly bland and conservative strict upbringing of a rejected outcast growing up in the land of the corn, Central Iowa. But where is the Eastern Religious connection? Bob grew up next door to a Korean family who accepted him lovingly and shared their culture with him when he was in elementary school. the culture was fascinating and captivating. The Asian art and Kung Fu movies and anime left a lasting impression and forever changed the way he was inspired. And the food, oh my, the food was insanely better than any food you would get at a restaurant in America. From handrolling Korean egg rolls to mixing up sticky rice into after school treats, the food alone was enough to transform a young Iowa boy into a lover and accepter of cultures and people, not only Korean and Asian, EVERY culture across the world. And since Bob had such a love for Asian cultures, he has pursued Buddhism and Taoism as life and artistic philospphies and Hardcore Zen in his musical and cultural preferences for the entirety of his being.

- Tongue: Tongue $30. Smiley, tongue frenulum starting at $50.
- Neck & Below: Nipples $30 each, $55 for a pair. Navel $30 with hoop, $35 with jewelled barbell. Nape and Surface Bars starting at $75.
- Microdermals: Can be done almost anywhere on the body with varying levels of success. Starting at $75 each, or two for $120.
- Below the Belt (Exotics): Female and male genital exotics starting at $75 each, $100 with jewelry upgrade. Bob has extensive experience with private exotic genital piercings. Not all anatomy will allow all piercings. ### How can I book an appointment?

The best way to schedule an appointment is to click on the Book Now button below this answer. It will take you to our Square Appointment page where you can pay a deposit and set up and appointment. Alternatively, you can fill out the CONSULTATION FORM and we will reach out to you as soon as possible to discuss your design, get you on the schedule for an in-person consultation or the tattoo appointment, and collect the deposit. ### How long are you booked out?

We actually have availability a lot sooner than you think. We can usually get you in for a small or medium tattoo same day as long as you have a design or a reference and you are open to any artist. If a drawing is required, it may take a minimum of a few days. If you want a medium or large tattoo that requires designing and drawing, it may take a few days or a week to get you in. With drawings and designing, we require a deposit. Please fill out our consultation form. If you want a large to extra-large custom sleeve, leg sleeve or backpiece, it could be a minimum of a week to a month to get the drawings and designing accomplished as well as the consultation form and an in-person consultation which include pictures, mapping , initial sketches, references and discussions. ### Do you do walk-ins?

We do walk-ins when we have availability. We're open Sunday through Tuesday noon to 8pm and Friday through Saturday noon to 10pm — walk-ins are welcome any of those days if we have the time. Wednesday through Thursday are by appointment only. We usually have multiple artists available on the weekends but sometimes there is just one artist. We can still do walk-ins and we can even get to groups of people. If you want to make sure you get in, call or text ahead.

### What is your minimum tattoo price?

Our minimum walk-in price for normal average body parts is $60. Minimum on non-average body parts (head, hands, exotics) is $80. The minimum is sometimes lower when we have specials and Flash Sales. We always guarantee our tattoos and the price includes a free touch-up within the first year.

### Can we come get tattooed after a few drinks?

Absolutely NOT!!! We will not tattoo if we can smell that you have been drinking. Drinking makes it hard for you to sit still, stay calm and not get up to use the bathroom every 20 minutes. Also, it makes your blood thin and it makes you an asshole. PLEASE DON'T DO IT!! If you are a Medical Cannabis user, that is fine with us but keep in mind that Cannabis can make you more sensitive.

### Are there any design themes that you won't do?

We will not tattoo any hate related , racist or gang related designs or themes. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

### What is your hourly rate?

The hourly rate varies by artist and is ion average $120 to $150 per hour. Usually we only use the hourly rate on pieces that will not be accomplished in one session. Hourly rate is for ongoing session pieces or larger pieces like sleeves and backpieces. Sometimes the hourly rate may apply to pieces that are on painful areas or hard to work on areas like the rib cage, neck, collarbone, inner arm.

### Do you do consultations?

Yes. Consultations are free and recommended. You will meet with your artist on a set day and time for approximately 1/2 hour in order to review your vision as well as its location, sizing and details. If your tattoo appointment isn’t already booked, your tattooist will schedule you by the end of your consultation. It is also not uncommon for your artist to request you put down a deposit at this time in order to hold the spot.

### Can I bring a friend/cousin/neighbor/etc. with me for my tattoo appointment?

We ask that you limit your visitors to only 1 extra person with you in the studio at a time. Contact your artist directly to see if we can accommodate an exception for special circumstances.

### Do you allow dogs in the studio?

We always allow certified service animals according to the state and local laws. We also don't mind small shorthair dogs especially if it help our customers sit longer. We may not allow the dog in the tattoo areas according to Colorado State Tattoo Shop regulations. We reserve the right to not allow any dog or pet in the door.
